Meet the staff of Accessible Languages, Inc.
Fran Smithson, President of ALI, has been in the field or working with visually impaired and hearing impaired individuals for over 20 years. Fran was employed by the Department of Human Resources (Raleigh Lions Clinic for the Blind - Evaluation Unit) and became very passionate in the field of deaf-blind. She trained at the Helen Keller Center in Sands Pointe, New York, and to this day says it was one of the most rewarding experiences she has had in her profession. She later attended Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, for their interpreter training program and also entered the Interpreter Training Program in UT under the direction of Marie Griffin. Her goal for ALI is to talk all languages and, with the help of qualified and dedicated interpreters, to be able to build a bridge of communication for us all.
Sharon Byrd is the Administrative Coordinator for Accessible Languages. Sharon is a native of New York who has relocated to the North Carolina area. She has over twenty years of experience as an administrative and personal assistant. She has worked in the corporate and educational field. Sharon’s duties are to organize, coordinate, and communicate professionally with both vendors and clients. Fran Smithson, CEO, is very pleased to have Sharon as part of our dedicated team. We know she will be a vital part of our future growth at Accessible Languages.
Debbie Limpic is the bookkeeper and billing contact for Accessible Languages. Debbie was born and raised in California, but she has family roots on the East Coast. She and her husband sold their business and relocated to North Carolina to be nearer to family. Should you have any questions regarding billing, don’t hesitate to contact Debbie.
